Le le Brikkun dont get me wrong what i meant to say was (ghandek ragun cause i spat out that comment) i prefer say The Rolling Stones' dirty guitar sound to over-produced and clinical sounding instruments...more of an earthy feel biex niftemu. But again you are very right to say there's good polished & bad.

In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth.

They remind me of The Mars Volta - do you like them as well?

I rarely delve in Prog Rock - 90% of it still bores the crap out of me, even at the age of 38, where I should be talking about it in reverential tones and going to half-arsed 'Leg-Ends Of Cock' festivals! :P

But here's my tuppence's worth:
KING CRIMSON - 'Beat', 'Discipline' & 'Three Of A Perfect Pair'
RUSH - 'Power Windows', 'Hold Your Fire'
PINK FLOYD - 'Ummagumma', 'Atom Heart Mother'

...I'm sure there's a couple more, but I find myself stroking my chin stubble thinking about 15-minute solos as I type this, so I'll stop here before I mutate into something I left behind in my B.J's days 18 years ago!
